Postgraduate Course at Vigo University
Next year, the University of Vigo will have two more postgraduate degrees. They are both related to translation and interpreting, so they will be very useful if we are considering continuing our academic training.
On the one hand, we have the Postgraduate in Audiovisual Translation. In order to complete it, students must pass all the subjects of the theoretical and methodological module and 5 out of the 6 subjects of the other modules that we will explain next. Besides this, students must complete as well a practical module, which includes a dissertation and an internship at any of the companies that have signed an agreement with the University of Vigo. Vancouver 2010
The Winter Olympic Games are a multisport event celebrated every four years since 1924, under the monitoring of the International Olympic Committe.
The city of Vancouver was elected host city of the XXI Olympic Winter Games in 2010 at the 115th IOC Session in Prague, on 2 July, 2003. Eight cities applied to host the Games: Andorra la Vella (Andorra), Bern (Switzerland), Harbin (China), Jaca (Spain), PyeongChang (Republic of Korea), Salzburg (Austria), Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Vancouver (Canada). This selection was a milestone in the history of the Winter Olympic Games, since many sports were played at sea level and Vancouver will be remembered as one of the warmest cities where the Winter Games took place. South Africa 2010
Germany in 2006. Korea and Japan in 2002. France 1998. And now, right in 2010, less than 6 months to start: South Africa. This country will host the nineteenth FIFA World Cup, which will gather 32 national teams that will have to fight for victory as they did four years ago.
