This event aims at encouraging ideas-exchange and experience-sharing in the field of translation by improving academic excellence and cooperation worldwide, fostering intellectual and professional discourse, exploring current translation theories, strategies, techniques, perspectives, practices and research, discovering new opportunities for alternative linguistic  approaches and their applications in translation/interpreting, reinforcing cooperation among translators in the academic field and practitioners, and introducing University Sains Malaysia as one of the regional centres of excellence within the translation and interpretation fields.
